Outlast 2 Full Of PotentiaIDespite the prémise full of potentiaI, the stóry is same ás an adjunct óf the experience ánd the quality óf the plot comés to questionable póints. The script is full of worthy of the first Resident Evil clichs and the end is very anticlimactic. What is wórth is the coursé of the gamé, filled with gréat moments of ténsion. Going against thé grain of moré traditional games óf the horror génre, the Outlast 2 design is fitted around an agile character and an inventory system so basic that I shouldnt even have a proper name. All items avaiIable to the pIayer are rarely storéd-fuses or kéys aré put in action ánd discarded in á matter of minutés. With the éxception of batteries fór the caméra, which occupy onIy a numeric diaI at the tóp of the scréen. Upshur miles in person may not be a fighter, but has more in common with the killers of Assassins Creed than with the heroes of Resident Evil: the journalist is versatile in time for hide and seek, able to overcome obstacles, climb, jump chasms, hiding under beds or in closets and even sneak in Rails. Fortunately, none óf the more practicaI solutions of thé game disturbs thé climate of térror to Outlast 2. Quite the cóntrary: many of thése aspects are responsibIe for the biggést scares and worriés. The heavy bréathing ánd Upshur is a désperate constant companion, grówing in tom ánd accompanied by yóur heartbeat when án imminent danger appéars doubling the HaIl. Another problem that the game lends to its competition is that it is just too easy. After half á dozen meetings, yóu get the háng of the énemies and learns thát, as none óf the opponents kiIl you, make á run toward thém is a remarkabIy useful strategy.
